A handful of locals who never quite left the ridge.
Sorrento Hiking is a small group of guides united by a shared affection for the nature, traditions, and customs of the Sorrento Peninsula and the Amalfi Coast. Our hikes are made for active travellers who’d rather move through a landscape on foot than watch it slide past a bus window — people who want to feel the terrain underfoot and share a real day of local life. Between us we have decades of experience reading these mule tracks in every season.
We aren’t an agency. We meet you in Tasso Square and drive you out to the trailhead ourselves — timing our departure to beat the traffic that builds after 9:30, and bringing you back around 3 once the roads clear, so no part of your day is lost sitting in a car. Then we walk slowly enough that you’ll notice the orchids in spring, the kestrels overhead, and the way the basolato underfoot is the same stone Greeks set in the 4th century BC.
Along the way you’ll meet the shepherds, farmers and families whose people have worked these terraces for generations — sharing their hospitality, their food, and the quiet ingenuity that carved the mule tracks, paper mills and lemon groves into the mountainside. That connection, as much as the view, is what we bring you here for.
